How Smarterer Are You?
As a BzzAgent, one of my latest campaigns was to give Smarterer.com a try. A site to test your knowledge on virtually any topic. Thousands of subjects from Google, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Harry Potter and many more.
So who writes all these tests you might wonder? Well that would be you, me and everyone else. Smarterer users create new questions and answers so the tests progressively get more elaborate and longer. With each test being timed, you have just a few seconds to prove your knowledge. Not quite enough time to flip to another browser, Google it and get the answer. Especially since you get more points the quicker you answer the question.
For people who love to take tests, competitive or just like to flaunt their knowledge this may be a great site for you to check out. I did enjoy my time there and did take a few of the tests. Mainly the BzzAgent, Google and Blogging tests.
This can be a great mental exercise to keep your sharp. The reviews of others I have read are fairly mixed some love it and some hate it. However, there is no denying that you should become Smarter and Smarterer as you progress.
The project has some pretty solid backing. Founded by BzzAgent CEO Dave Balter, Jennifer Fremont-Smith and Michael Kowalchik. What really struck me is that Google through some money in to the mix. They typically are pretty savvy investors and on the forefront of the technology curve. So I am sure good things will be on the horizon for the site. Last number I saw the company has gathered up about 1.25 million dollars.
One of my first thoughts about it was that, under the right circumstances, could be nice to flaunt on a resume or resume site. The potential to show off your skills and knowledge base to possible employers who grasp the concept could be very profound. Maybe I will even test my own new hires to make sure they are Smarterer enough for the job.
If you enjoy tests, enjoy being part of a community building knowledge, this may be a place to swing by on your daily surfing.
